Pain Control & Anaesthetic Safety
(03) 5281 1221Anaesthetic Safety
Patients undergoing general gaseous anaesthesia are monitored throughout the surgery by trained staff using instruments to monitor respiration, blood oxygen saturation, blood pressure and heart rate. At the first sign of any problem we are alerted, this gives time for appropriate action to be taken to prevent a critical situation arising.
Animals are intubated and put on gaseous anaesthesia (isoflurane) for greater control. Because of this our safety record is extremely high.
Pain Control
All surgical procedures require some form of pain control, be it cat desexing, dog desexing or general surgery. Our staff will ensure your pet suffers little pain. It is routine procedure at our practice for all animals undergoing surgery to receive pain control. The amount, type and duration are tapered according to the individual.
