(03) 5281 1221Our veterinary clinic has a purpose built surgery equipped to perform most types of animal surgery with modern technology. At Bannockburn Veterinary Clinic, we pride ourselves on high safety standards. Our surgical procedures are completely sterile and we are equipped with up to date monitoring equipment.
Anaesthetic Machines
The anaesthetic machine is used to support the administration of anaesthesia. Our machines are continuous flow anaesthetic machines, which are designed to provide accurate and continuous supply of medical gases, mixed with an accurate concentration of anaesthetic vapour and deliver this to the patient at a safe pressure and flow.
Pulse Oximeter
A pulse oximeter is a medical device that indirectly monitors the oxygen saturation of a patient’s blood.
Surgivet Blood Pressure Monitor
Blood pressure is a test done to determine the pressure of the blood against the walls of blood vessels. The measurement of an animal’s blood pressure (BP) has a wide range of indications. BP measurement is clinically significant in early diagnosis of a variety of diseases, in pain management, monitoring of ICU patients and during anaesthesia.
Heated Surgical Table
For your pets comfort and to minimize the hypothermia common with anaesthesia our surgical table is heated.
Electrosurgical Cautery Unit
Electrocautery is a surgical technique which involves introducing high frequency current to a specific area of the body in order to remove unwanted tissue, seal off blood vessels, or to create a surgical incision.
Suction Pump
Suction devices are used to draw off excess fluid from operating areas.
Autoclave
All drapes, gowns, and instrument packs are autoclaved. An autoclave is a device used to sterilize equipment and supplies by subjecting them to high pressure saturated steam.
